Stitch Maynia 2016 and Happy Star Wars Day...

HAPPY STAR WARS DAY!

So, I gave my son's teacher her present and she LOVED it!  She was super surprised and completely thrilled. (Her son, who is around 8, tried to "steal" the piece for himself, so I think it will be a huge hit with her entire family.)

---
And, I decided to take part in the Stitch MAYnia SAL...
(Which is simply to start 15 projects in the beginning of May.)
Well, I didn't start out with the intention of taking part in the SAL, because I had no idea what it actually was...
...but thanks to all the wonderful bloggers that I follow, I found out about it, joined the Facebook group and decided to take part.
(I haven't officially signed up yet, though...
...not sure if sign up is still open.)

So, on to the stitching...
Day One (Sunday, May 1st)
 Started: 5/1/2016
Finished: 5/2/2016

This piece is my Christmas ornament for the month of April.  The theme for this month was ornament/decoration and is stitched on plastic canvas.
It is from the Cross Stitch Favourites magazine.

Day Two (Monday, May 2nd)

I started this piece for the Halloween ornament SAL for the month of April.  The theme for this month was ghosts and the ornament is being stitched on 14 ct. white Aida.
The pattern comes from the The World of Cross Stitching and was designed by Durene Jones.

Day Three (Tuesday, May 3rd)

The piece will eventually be a mother and baby bunny.
This pattern is from the Cross Stitcher magazine, issue number 302 (March 2016) and it is part of the Mother Nature pattern set, designed by Diane Machin.
The designs are all mother and baby animals and I hope to stitch up several to give to my sister-in-law, since she is expecting her third child this July.

I do have the fourth start picked out, but I just haven't gotten it started yet. (Have to pick up my son from school soon and then I should be able to make a start.)

I hope everyone is having a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

  4. Great starts for Stitch Maynia, although I thought you would have wanted less pressure after the A-Zing! So glad the Star Wars Alphabet was well received. :)

    1. Thanks Rachel!
I honestly had no intention of joining another SAL type thing, it just kinda happened. Figured it was a good push to get working on some projects that I have wanted to, but never found the time.
